Entertainment Areas

Entertaining is easy to accomplish in style on all occasions with this beautifully appointed residence.

Entry Foyer

A truly breathtaking entrance to the Balmoral Manor.

As you enter and close the two large solid mahogany doors behind you it’s easy to imagine Scarlet O’Hara coming down the sweeping staircase… the rustle of silk and the swish of feathers… you are transported to a time when the hands of the clock moved at a slower and more elegant pace.

The entrance foyer owes its bewitching effect to:

  • the sweeping spiral staircase of imported German wrought iron balustrade, with a tallow-wood (eucalyptus microcorys) banister
  • a floor to ceiling frosted-glass panel-window two storeys in height creates a magical hue with the late afternoon sun
  • a floor of Italian white Carrara marble, and Zimbabwe black granite
  • four solid tallow-wood pillars designed and turned on a large gun-barrel lathe by master craftsman Michael Darlow
  • evenly spaced risers on the staircase provide an effortless ascent to the top floor
  • it is the central hub of the residence – leading upstairs to the private sleeping sanctuary, and study quarters, and radiating out to the formal and informal entertaining, and food preparation areas downstairs
  • discreetly positioned spiral staircase leads down to a four-car under-cover lock-up garage and work-room, which can double as a large party-room.

Whether it’s a candle-lit dinner for two, or a gathering of friends or business associates, this dining room can be arranged to meet any mood, to suit any ambience…

Overlooking the private front garden and statue in the fountain, the room:
