Designed by Robert Vance and built by De Gabrielle it is a large, well-lit and airy space overlooking Sydney’s Middle Harbour and opening onto a family area and outdoor dining area.
Its special features include:
- 17 tungsten low-voltage, recessed, adjustable lights positioned perfectly over work and spacious dining benches
- ample work space – benches topped with 40mm solid black Zimbabwe granite
- Italian SMEG gas cook-top with five burners, one large enough for a wok, and also a long fish-cooker
- electric fan-forced oven
- all surrounded by sparkling stainless steel bench, backing and exhaust system
- GE 3-door refrigerator, with an external drinks door
- concealed BLANCO dishwasher
- cupboards automatically ventilated by a timer to prevent mould and odours
- cupboards designed to conceal all appliances (including microwave, as well as television and stereo equipment)
- inlaid parquetry flooring - meticulously laid by Greaves Brothers.

The Family Room
